At Transit Fire & Safety we believe that fire detection and prevention is essential to ensure that your employees can act quickly in the early stages of a fire. They can provide important indication that a fire has started, warning people within the building to evacuate immediately. We can design, install and maintain Fire Alarm Systems that give you the vital time needed to evacuate the premises and call the emergency services.

Our unique ability to offer combined services under tailored design, installation and maintenance packages allows us to offer true added-value benefits with genuine savings to be achieved for our clients.

What do they do?

Fire detectors provide a wide variety of systems, which all comply with BCA. Whether you require a single alarm installation or a full system, Transit Fire & Safety can provide the best solution to suit your businesses requirements.

All existing buildings except domestic premises are subject to the BCA requirements and are required to comply with AS 1670 and the responsible person, as defined in the order, has to conduct a fire risk assessment. This fire risk assessment will decide the appropriate Australian standard necessary to provide a suitable and sufficient solution for the premises.

All of our Fire Alarm Systems essentially operate on the same principles. If a detector detects smoke, a certain level of heat or the break glass unit is operated, alarm sounders operate to warn and alert members of the premises to evacuate.

We offer a large and complete installation of Fire Integrated Alarm Systems including fire/heat/smoke detectors and fire alarm panels to suit all requirements. These systems can include such features as:

  • Audio and visual alarms
  • Voice alarm/fire telephone systems
  • Emergency lighting
  • Large range of modern, stylish designs to blend with todays modern architectural designs
  • Access code and keyswitch variants
  • Selectable switching
  • Day/night (building occupied/building unoccupied) switching
  • Investigation delay period function
  • Zone dependency

Wired Fire Alarm Systems can be broken into two categories:

  1. Conventional Fire Alarm Systems
  2. Addressable Fire Alarm Systems
