Transit Group WA is proud to be delivering the complete electrical design and construct package for the new PFD Foods distribution facility in Jandakot, WA.
This landmark project will establish a major new cold-chain logistics hub for Western Australia, purpose-built to support high-volume food storage, handling and distribution with the reliability and performance demanded by a 24/7 operation.
Spanning more than 57,000m², the development includes a large-scale temperature-controlled warehouse, a 12,000m² freezer and chiller complex, 4,500m² dry store, double-storey office, operations office, gatehouse, ammonia plantroom, MHE workshop, truck wash facilities, and a dedicated charging area with more than 87 powered forklift charging bays.
Our scope includes the complete electrical design and installation across the site, with a 2MVA incoming supply, 17 switchboards, extensive mains and submains reticulation, long-distance cable infrastructure, and an automated generator connection system to support critical operations.
The facility will also feature nearly 1,500 light fittings integrated through a Philips Dynalite lighting control system, delivering high-performance, energy-efficient lighting across warehouse zones, offices, plantrooms and external operational areas. High-output hardstand lighting will further support safe movement across loading docks, parking areas and transport zones.
The project also includes a 99kW solar photovoltaic system and energy management system, reinforcing the facility’s long-term operational efficiency and sustainability goals.
This project reflects Transit Group WA’s capability to deliver complex electrical infrastructure for major industrial developments, combining scale, performance and smart energy solutions to power critical logistics operations across Western Australia.
